Barbara is a Clinical Associate Professor for Management at Stern at NYU Abu Dhabi, where she teaches courses on entrepreneurship, impact investing, and consulting. Her research focuses on impact measurement, social finance, and how purpose-driven organizations can effectively communicate their social value. Her work has been published in leading academic journals and has influenced best practices for impact evaluation globally.

With years of experience advising social enterprises, non-profits, and government agencies, Barbara is committed to bridging the gap between academic theory and real-world practice. She believes that robust impact management is key to creating lasting positive change and that transparency and accountability are at the heart of successful social initiatives. For this purpose, she has developed the Social Reporting Standard (SRS) which is applied for impact reporting worldwide.

Ziad El Maamoun is a strategic and financial planning advisor with 24 years of experience working in the public and private industry. He is specialized in strategic planning and operational implementation of large scale organizational and government change projects. He managed various projects in the fields of economic impact analysis, sector-specific policy and strategy development, and data management and reporting initiatives. He lead operations in a broad-spectrum of activities based on years of frequent exposure to board-level issues and reporting requirements, effectively developing and translating vision, mission and strategy into tangible deliverables.​
Mr. El Maamoun worked for the Authority of Social Contributions Ma’an and helped develop the 3rd Sector Strategy deployment plans, impact measurement methodology and numerous other relevant projects.​
Ziad graduated with an MBA from the top-tier ESCP university, in addition to years of professional training and coaching by the strategy consulting firms.
